Welcome to Swindon & District Bowls Association
The world of Lawn Bowls around Swindon. The Association has Representative matches and runs 2 Leagues as well Competitions.
The Evening League is held on a Thursday Evening, with 2 Divisions, with promotion and relegation comprising of 24 teams for the 2026 season played over 4 rinks.
The Afternoon League (Known as Tea & Biscuits) is played on a Monday and Tuesday’s following Bank Holidays. There are 7 Divisions with 58 teams for the 2026 season played over 2 Rinks. At the end of the season, the winners of each Division will then be invited to compete in a round robin Champion of Champions afternoon.
There are going to be 4 Association Friendly matches in 2026. One against Bowls Wiltshire, one against the S&D Ladies and Centenary Matches against Swindon North End and Swindon West End B.C. https://www.swindonanddistrictba.co.uk/association-friendlies/
Individuals are invited to enter our Competitions, CHAMPION OF CHAMPIONS, OFFICER’S CUP,SINGLES,OVER 60’s SINGLES,PAIRS,TRIPLES,MIXED TRIPLES,RINKS,MIXED RINKS along with the EDDIE WELLS TROPHY the only Team Competition, with the Finals being played jointly with Swindon & District Ladies at Supermarine Bowls Club on the weekend of 12th & 13th September.
